ETSY API COMPLIANCE

Last updated July 28, 2026

The term 'Etsy' is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.

1. AUTHORISATION

Sellers connect their own Etsy shop to MarketplaceHub through Etsy's official OAuth 2.0 flow. The seller signs in on Etsy's own pages and grants a scoped, revocable token to MarketplaceHub.

  • We never ask for, receive or store Etsy account passwords.
  • Access is granted by the shop owner, for their own shop, and can be revoked at any time from their Etsy account settings.
  • We do not act on an Etsy account without that account holder's authorisation.
2. NO CREDENTIAL SHARING

API credentials and access tokens are never shared with, resold to, or sublicensed to any third party. Each seller's tokens are used solely to operate that seller's own shop on their behalf, within the scopes they approved.

MarketplaceHub's own public REST API exposes only the catalogue and order data held in a customer's MarketplaceHub account. It does not proxy the Etsy API and never exposes Etsy credentials or access tokens.

3. NO SCRAPING

We access Etsy data only through the official, documented Etsy API. We do not scrape etsy.com, and we do not use internal, private or undocumented endpoints.

4. CACHING AND REFRESH
  • Etsy listing content displayed in our interface is refreshed at least every 6 hours.
  • Other Etsy content is refreshed at least every 24 hours.
5. ATTRIBUTION

Listings sourced from Etsy link back to the item on Etsy, so the original listing remains reachable from anywhere it is displayed in our interface.

6. DATA HANDLING

How we collect, store and process personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy and our Data Protection Policy.
