Shopify integration
Stock and price should have one owner, and every other channel should follow it. With Shopify you choose which way that goes.
Stock has one master at a time. The master's changes go out to the rest.
Switch on Real-Time Stock Sync. Shopify tells us when a product changes. We apply its price and quantity to the matching products, and MarketplaceHub sends them on to your other channels. A change is never sent back to the Shopify store that reported it.
Publish products from your catalog into your store. After that, a price or quantity change in MarketplaceHub reaches Shopify as a small update of those two values. The product is not published again.
Shopify sends the change as it happens. We do not poll your store for it.
A variant is matched to your product by its SKU. A variant with no SKU is skipped, because we never guess.
The sync updates products you have already imported. It does not bring new ones in: see Catalog sync.
Both values in the change are applied, and both go on to your other channels.
If another channel is your stock master, you turn its sync off first. Then Shopify can take over.
Which way stock flows, what is matched, and what the sync does not do.
