Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF): Amazon ships an eBay, Etsy, Shopify or Walmart order from your FBA stock, and the tracking goes back to the channel that sold it.
"Ship with Amazon" on the order asks Amazon what it would charge and when it would ship and deliver. Nothing is sent until you confirm.
When Amazon ships the parcel, its carrier and tracking number go to the channel that sold the order, once, and the order moves to Shipped there.
Cancel the Amazon shipment from the order, or cancel the sale on its channel and Amazon is asked to stop. Amazon can stop only before it starts picking.
A store can take each SKU's quantity from FBA, updated every few hours, so it sells what Amazon holds. SKUs that are not in FBA keep your own stock.
Each selling store is Off, Manual or Automatic. Manual: a person sends an order, or the public API or an AI assistant does (with a dry run, and your approval when you ask for it). Automatic: new orders go to Amazon only while Amazon's fee is at or below your fee cap, Amazon raises no problem and keeps the channel's ship-by date, and the day's cap is not reached. Any other order stays with you, and the order says why.
Walmart allows MCF only in an unbranded box and without Amazon Logistics, so those are always set for Walmart orders. eBay orders block Amazon Logistics by default. Amazon needs each buyer's name and address: a Shopify store that does not share them with MarketplaceHub cannot send those orders. Amazon's own orders never go to MCF.
What it costs, when an order goes, and what Amazon needs.
